I have not been <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">idle</span>. I have been very active on <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">Flickr</span> learning my way around and meet some wonderful new friends. I have taken a lot of pictures and am now using the tools in <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">Corel</span> paint shop pro 12 to <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">develop</span> new and interesting pieces of art. I have been selling all my books and videos on Amazon.com and now hope to sell some of my art work as prints. Posting on <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Deviantart</span> and <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error">imagekind</span> to get more <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">exposer</span>.<br /><br />Over the last couple of years as I have been cataloging my work I had the feeling it was mostly <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_7" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Schatches</span> and ideas for art pieces that were not quite complete. I was a little sad that they hadn't gone further. Now I see I can give muscle and bone to my ideas. The use of digital tools and my skills as an artist have been developing over a life time of working and teaching others to express their inner visions. Time to cut back the garden and with the economy in the critical state it is in ....it is time for Americans to cut back on everything. Conserve resources, recycle, compost and make do with what we have. It is a wake up call and maybe we will get it now. I am thankful I live in a community that is rural and peopled with other folks who know how to "make do". I can walk to the grocery store and ride my bike on country roads. I can skype my kids in Portland and email friends and family all over the world. The power of time, wind and water on rock is like looking at the hand of God indeed! We sure do have a big country here.<br /><br />Arrived in Santa Fe and spent the day going to galleries. What wonderful artists, what magical creative things. It is enough to boggle the mind. We went to a tappon resturant for dinner it was great fun and delicious. Drove to the canyon today with the help of the GPS. The El Tovar is great with very comfortable large rooms. Surprised to fine I got a little sunburnt even though we were not in the sun that much. I expect to be inspired by all the wonderful art I will see on this trip. My sister is as excited about it as I am..........maybe more!<br /><br />Rigged my camera today with a strap to carry around my neck.
